Dr. Grant Shimizu, a third generation native of Santa Clara Valley, resides in Fremont with wife, Susan, and 2 sons presently away at college in southern California. Baseball and basketball were favorite sports growing up, but he now prefers racquetball, golf, workouts, and fishing. He also enjoys music, especially jazz, and plays guitar for a small combo. Dr. Shimizu and his family are members of the Wesley United Methodist Church.
